Kamil Bouzoubaa-Grivel is a franco-moroccan artist. Whether with a pen or his mobile phone, his work is about drawing lines. He’ is interested in the different forms of handwritten and vector writing that he uses both as a sign and as an autonomous plastic object.
In back and forth movements between digital and analogical and through sets of formats (extension, reduction, zoom, ...), he blurs the tracks on the nature of these lines that slip and slide from 2D to 3D.Governed by their own internal logics, its pieces interact with each other through a system of ricochets. They offer a narrative, their own.
CIMENT is a series of fingers drawings made on 5,5 and 6,1 inches smartphones. They were drawn during daily trips and waiting moments between July and November 2019. These drawings were then laid out and published in a tabloid journal.
